Crow Diary
Day 1
Very quick delivery of the disk, I must say! These suppliers are as good as their word.
Put it to work this afternoon, and the crows did depart fairly quickly.
Lorikeets seemed a bit flustered but stayed.
Day 2
The original 2 crows came home to roost last night and were up calling their pals around 4am, so I got up and put the CrowAway on and went back to bed. (I am too old for this nonsense.) By the time I got up again about 6:30 everything was gone.
Turned CD off around 5pm. Lorikeets back roosting.
Day 3
Up again at 4 and put the speakers on.
Crows gone most of the day.
They come back periodically, probably marking territory, but thankfully we are free of the damned things during the day.
Don’t notice the speakers. They blend with the other birds.
Butcher birds, doves, & pigeons all still here.
I left the speakers on until it was quite dark.
Did not hear the crows settling to roost.
Have we won ?
Day 4
Up @ 4am (again). No crows. Ye gods. Didn’t put the speakers on. (mistake ?). Back to bed till 6.
In the afternoon the Crows just called in again.
I’ll move the speakers when I come home this afternoon.
That should confuse the buggers.
Day 5
Late home last night, so didn’t get up until 7 this morning (I AM getting old and lazy!). Was not woken by crows this morning. If this keeps up I will start believing in Santa Claus.
Pretty free of crows most of the day. They come back to the tree and squawk a bit, then, as soon as the speakers fire off, they are gone.
Day 6
Crows reappeared around 8am. I put on the Crow Away and they went.
Day 7
No crows.
Did not need to play Crow Away today.
Day 8
No crows.
Miners are back. Crabby little buggers, but cheery enough.
Lorikeets back a fair bit and stayed overnight again. Maybe they are just foraging.
Day 9
Pretty happy with results so far, really. Quite successful.
